“Smooth Sailing” by Mary Morrissey

There’s an old saying that goes, “No wind is favorable to the sailor who has no destination in mind.” You are setting the shape of your sails –your intent –into the great wind of life.

If you don’t know where you are going and have no destination in mind, you don’t know how to set the sails. You don’t know how to use the rudder, and you don’t know how to guide the ship that is the vessel of your own life.

So what are the three most important things to you? As you go through the day, if it all came down to three things, what would they be? Set your sail –your intent –by those three important values.

At the end of the day, you are the only one who gets to choose your direction. If you don’t choose, no one does.

No wind is favorable to the one who doesn’t have a destination in mind.

Set Your Sails,

Mary Morrissey
